You have selected the category: Other
The three other categories cover the most common bite functional/TMD disorders that exist. Below you will find a list of the most relevant questions a dentist will ask in connection with examination, and if you answer yes to just one - it may be a good idea to seek a dentist for further examination, advice and guidance or treatment.
You can see our overview of dentists who work with bite functional examination under advice and guidance.
Question
- 1Have you experienced clicks, gravel sounds, or locking from your jaw joint and at the same time tenderness or pain?
- 2Do you experience that you grind or clench your teeth - either at night or during the day - to such an extent that your chewing muscles are sore or tense?
- 3Have you observed changes in your bite? Either that your teeth fit together worse, are hit harder, or suddenly there are teeth that do not touch at all?
- 4Do you have facial pain that comes and goes, jumps from side to side, is on teeth, gums, muscles, and sometimes is completely indefinable?
If you answered yes to one or more of the questions, we recommend contacting a dentist.
